HDC Galaxy S4 Legend vs Spark

Which is better; HDC Galaxy S4 Legend or Spark? Torn between these choices? We'll help you identify the differences and similarities of the HDC Galaxy S4 Legend and the HDC Galaxy S4 Spark by this comparison guide so you can finally decide which of these S4 clones you should be getting.

Before anything else, the HDC Galaxy S4 Legend we will be talking is this one, and the HDC Galaxy S4 Spark is this one. You might ask, why compare these two? The reason is simple, both packs awesome specifications and features, yet the other one is having a cheaper price tag. Both have this new feature: Gesture Control, Air View and Smart Stay features. The features which the real Galaxy S4 boasts as well.

So now, we are going to review the specifications of the HDC Galaxy S4 Legend and the HDC Galaxy S4 Spark to clear things up.

Operating System

Operating SystemAndroid 4.2.2 Jelly BeanAndroid 4.2.9 Jelly Bean

Both runs on the same Jelly Bean version of Android. No matter what is on the last digit, it simply doesnt make an impact much on the phone's performance as it might be just an indicator of some slight revisions with the phone's installed ROM.  Since they both run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, you can expect smooth transitions and overall snappy performance on this S4 knock-offs.
Winner: Both

Processor

ProcessorUniversal5410 Quad Core @ 1.6GHzMTK6589 Quad Core @ 1.2GHz

Both have quad core processors, difference only on maker. The Legend have the Universal5410 chipset on board while the Spark have the MT6589 cpu. Both are powerful processors this day, but the Legend have a higher clock of 1.6GHz. This parameter indicates that the Legend will be faster in terms of processing when compared with other devices of lower clock speed.

Play Store Support

Play Store SupportYesYes

An important factor for buying a Chinese Android smartphone is its Play Store support. It sucks when your phone doesnt have a working Google Play Store pre-installed. The good news is, HDC products have this installed already on all of its devices.
Winner: Both

They are almost the same except for one thing: OGS. The Legend have this OGS technology on its LCD which definitely gives a better build on the screen, coming up with a better display and thinner plate compared to non-OGS displays. However, both have HD displays at the same screen size so this wont really matter, a lot, on first glance.

Both have quite similar snapper sizes, just a very little number differences. But the ability to draw higher resolution photos is an advantage, hence we can say that the Legend wins again on this round. Just a little bit.

Price

Price$215$199

Legend is priced a bit higher than the Spark for an extra $14. The Legend came out last month and by the time it was out in the market, it became a hot-sell. Now, a cheaper option appeared. The Spark is way cheaper and has some slight difference with the Legend. Both have the same freebies, and extra batteries. Best of all, they are both free shipping. When talking about the price, the Spark wins as it is cheaper.

Similarities

Besides other than the similarities on adopting the Samsung Galaxy S4 looks, these knock-offs have other similarities listed below:
  • Single SIM, micro SIM card support
  • 2600mAH battery
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 4GB of ROM
  • Dimensions: 135.8*68.7*8.3mm
  • Weight: 124g

The difference have been iterated to show why the Spark is a little bit cheaper than the Legend. While looking onto all these details, we can conclude that any of these two S4 clones are worth the buy. If you got the budget, then why not get the HDC Galaxy S4 Legend? If you are a bit short for that, then the sub-$200 HDC Galaxy S4 Spark will surely cut it out for a worthy purchase.

  1. I'm really impressed by your clones, they are well done but why can't you do (4G or LTE) clones. Many countries are now with this standard. In Canada your 3G phones can only see 2G network so thats why a lot of Canadian and American can't use your phones on their Cell Network. And on the next clones please also add the 802.11 (N) WIFI.

  3. Hello

i bough a HDC Galaxy S4 legend and 2 Galaxy s4 Spark from you.

i received the Legend 2 weeks ago, but i have a real big issue.

you mention that the phone supports WCDMA at 850mhz, and also in the phone in engineering mode that band is selected, but i've been for over 1 week with no 3G, only Edge.

i'm in Mexico, my carrier is Telcel and al carriers in Mexico work with WCDMA 850 band, and i still don't have 3g on this phone, i'm really concerned as i'm a seller, and i'm waiting for 2 sparks to arrive and i have 5 orders pending for the Legend and spark, i have not yet purchased those 10 phones yet because i have this issue with the 3G network, i tried flashing the phone to the latest firmware/rom hoping it was a software issue, and still no success.

please help me enable 3g on this phones and i will buy 10 more,

i'm eager to do business with these phones
