HDC Galaxy S1: 5.8 inch JellyBean Phablet with 1GB RAM

Here's another HDC Note clone, the HDC Galaxy S1. It sports a MTK6577 dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, packed with 1GB of RAM, and housed in a 5.8 inches of HD IPS screen. Accompanied with that is a 12MP snapper and comes with Android 4.1.1 JellyBean OS out of the box.

Although the name suggests a leap back in the S-series of Galaxy Android phones, the HDC Galaxy S1 shouldnt be treated as a small time knock-off. It is big, showcasing a 5.8 inches screen which make itself a phablet (phone and tablet) plus the rest of its offered specs.

It runs on Android 4.1 JellyBean OS, and has that skinned UI which is very similar to the TouchWiz UI that is present with these latest Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 originals. The HDC Galaxy S1 is equipped with a MediaTek MT6577 dual core cpu which we are already very much familiar with. Its a really strong cpu which can handle apps, games and media playbacks without a sweat no matter how HD it is.

The 5.8 inches screen is an IPS material and what makes it top among the other phablets out there, is it has HD resolution, 1280x720 pixels of 16 million colors. Its multi-touch screen will surely not fail to please your eyes on every screen it will display.

Its snapper set is also one of its impressive parameters, the main camera is a 12 megapixels shooter while the front one is at 3.2MP. Its good to note that this one is a dual-SIM phone, with 3G on one sim slot. It supports the following network bands: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz + WCDMA 850/2100MHz

The 1GB of RAM packed on this phablet should be more than enough to handle all the games and tasks you might do with this device. Its 4GB ROM can be expected to give you approximately 2.5GB of usable internal storage memory.

Its battery is a 2500mAh Li-on battery so expect more usage time with this juice.
